Two Bright Lakes are very proud to be a part of the community at Schoolhouse Studios, and to have been asked to program the music for their upcoming exhibition Place of Assembly (10th-27th October)
Over the last 2 years, Schoolhouse Studios in Abbotsford has been the workplace of over 75 artists working across a wide range of disciplines. With the demolition of the site planned for the end of 2012, resulting in the displacement of the tenants, founders Elizabeth Barnett & Alice Glenn, in conjunction with Melbourne International Arts Festival, are curating a two-week, site-wide exhibition. To find out more about the artists involved, go to the Place of Assembly website.
Playing at the opening night, Wednesday October 10th, from 8pm, are Fox + Sui, Speed Painters, Client Liason and Two Bright Lakes DJs. It’s free and you won’t regret coming and celebrating one of the most vibrant artistic communities in Melbourne, before it’s gone…
Co-curator Alice Glenn and Blake Byron-Smith from Two Bright Lakes will be on RRR tonight on Set It Out from 5:30pm talking about the exhibition and opening night.
